Is the Baby Brezza Formula Pro Advanced Accurate?

In short: Yes. The Baby Brezza Formula Pro Advanced is carefully tested and calibrated for each formula and designed to deliver consistent, accurate bottles every time.

At Baby Brezza, your baby’s health and well-being come first. That’s why all our products undergo extensive testing so you can feel confident using them at home.

The Formula Pro Advanced, designed to automatically prepare warm formula bottles, undergoes a series of rigorous checks before it ever leaves the factory. Each unit is carefully inspected to ensure every component is working as it should. In addition, every production run is independently tested by a third-party agency for dispensing accuracy, safety compliance and overall quality before shipment.

Understanding the Formula Settings for Accurate Dispensing

Every formula brand and type has its own dedicated setting on the Formula Pro. This ensures the machine dispenses the correct formula-to-water ratio, based on the instructions provided on the formula tin (specifically, the required amount of formula by weight per 60ml of water).

Each formula is tested individually to confirm that the machine prepares bottles in accordance with the recommended ratio on the packaging. The Formula Pro Advanced will never dispense less formula than the manufacturer’s guidelines. In some cases, it may dispense up to 1g extra to allow the powder to naturally settle in the container.

Once the correct setting is selected, the machine is fully calibrated. It will dispense the precise amount of formula needed, whether you’re preparing 90ml, 210ml or any other bottle size.

You don’t need to adjust the setting as your baby’s feeds increase. The setting only needs to be changed if you switch formulas, for example, moving from first infant milk to follow-on milk, or changing brands.

Because the Formula Pro Advanced uses a dedicated setting for each formula, it delivers consistent results every time, helping you prepare reliable bottles feed after feed.

You can also use our Formula Settings Finder to locate the correct setting for your formula. By entering your email, you can receive updates if your formula setting changes, which may occur as a result of our ongoing testing and quality checks.

How do we test accuracy?

Baby Brezza uses a meticulous testing process to ensure the Formula Pro Advanced dispenses formula accurately.

Using a precision lab scale that measures to the hundredth of a gram, our in-house testing involves dispensing formula from the same machine ten times in a row. Each result is checked to ensure consistency and to match the weight specified on the formula packaging.

FAQs

Does the Formula Pro Advanced Dispense the Correct Amount of Formula?

Yes! The Formula Pro Advanced is designed to dispense the precise amount of formula based on the specific brand and type you select. It is important to have the correct formula-to-water ratio for your baby’s well-being, which is why our machine is calibrated for accuracy.

Is the Formula Pro Advanced more accurate than making bottles by hand?

The Formula Pro Advanced is designed to give you a consistent, reliable way to prepare a warm formula bottle every time. It measures powdered formula by weight, as specified on the formula packaging, rather than relying on scoops or volume measurements.

When preparing bottles by hand, small variations can happen. Scooping is based on volume and can be affected by how the powder is packed or levelled. In fact, the American Dietetic Association, Pediatrician Practice Group highlights that manual measuring can involve human error up to 25% of the time.

By automating the process, the Formula Pro Advanced helps reduce this variation, so you can feel more confident that each bottle is prepared consistently.

What do the different formula settings mean?

The settings control how the measuring wheel rotates. Lower settings (such as setting 1) result in fewer rotations, while higher settings (such as setting 10) result in more.

There isn’t a fixed dispensing weight for each setting because every formula powder is different. Variations in ingredients, texture and density (for example, whether a powder is fine and loose or more grainy and dense) affect how it dispenses.

This is why each formula must be individually tested in our lab to determine the correct setting that achieves the recommended formula-to-water ratio.

How do I find the correct formula setting for my Formula Pro Advanced?

Use our Formula Settings Finder to quickly identify the right setting for your specific formula brand and type. Simply complete the form, and you’ll be given the correct setting to use.

By entering your email address, we can notify you immediately if the setting for your selected formula is ever updated. We’ll only contact you about that specific formula, and your details won’t be used for marketing purposes.
